By collecting data at high rate, it is possible to calculate OEE real time. MTConnect adapter and agent must be installed for successful collection of data from CNC machine. Data such as Machine State, Feedrate Override, and more.
An Edge device is use to collect data via MTConnect communication protocol. Machine Utilization, Performance and OEE are calculated real time by the Edge device. Optionally, data can be send to Cloud Database for historical report using Power BI.
groov EPIC is an Edge Programmable device that is made by Opto 22, and was release on 2018. This Edge device have also web-based functionality. Simply use browser from any computer, mobile phone or use large screen smart tv with browser functionality to display dashboard on shopfloor. We can create as many dashboard views as you like, one for operator, one for manager, one for maintenance and many more.

Timeline View allows to see historical status of machine in relation to other parameters.
Edge Device can be setup by our team using remote connection. So all work can be done remotely online, anytime and anywhere.

At the beginning of the shift, Utilization, Performance and other parameters are rest to zero.
Machines are identified by name on the left hand side, real time status and feedrate override are displayed. Last Active is a feature that displays the date and time since the machine was active. Utilization of machine is calculated from time since shift started. Effective Utilization is the utilization multiply by feedrate override.

By knowing the standard routing time of current job operating on machine, it is possible to calculate the Pro-Rated Variance, and the Average Performance in real time.
